Masha is the quintessence of our family, the powerhouse of our existence. She gets extremely passionate about anything she is doing—cooking, baking, skating, swimming or research. Even though most of us think she should have become a professional chef, Masha is a PhD student at Tepper Business School at Carnegie Mellon University. Her primary fields of professional interests include transfer pricing and global supply chain management.
Probably at this very moment Ilya is planning his next dream trip. Being crazy about travelling, camping, hiking and everything else that could get him outdoors, Ilya is dreaming about spending some of his life in a cabin by the mountain lake.
Ilya works at one of the Pittsburgh creative agencies. He loves working on new online projects, hence, Shunko.com gets redesigned at least once in two years.
We are a Russian-speaking family from Estonia. We came to USA to study at Indiana University and later moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, which we now call our home. We love travelling to new places as well as re-visiting old favorite ones. We enjoy hanging out with our friends, playing board games, skiing, skating, hiking and just being together.
Our kids are the best — no kidding.
Sasha provides all of us with enormous amount of energy, excitement and fun. Being without a doubt the most creative person in our family, she never gets tired of painting, drawing or any other crafting activity. Sasha loves fairy tales and everything related to magic and mythology. Her favorite character is Tinkerbell, favorite animals—Unicorn, Dragon, Pegasus and Phoenix.
Danya is the latest addition to our loving family—he was born in Pittsburgh on October 16, 2007. Being incredibly cute and positive, he instantly became everyone’s favorite.
Danya likes to play with Mega Bloks™ (his personal record is 15 blocks tall tower). He prefers spending his nighttime with his best buddy toy-giraffe.
