Getting a life

I got some Xterra stuff grom a guy in Colorado. The shipper’ address is Kilimanjaro Road, Evergreen Colorado. Pretty cool, I guess I'd like to live on a Kilimanjaro or maybe Fujiyama street sometime.

I had a pretty intense discussion with Sasha this morning. We were talking about manners, behavior, school and a program for gifted kids where Sasha recently got admitted to. One argument led to another, some names were called. At the end Sasha concluded: “Gifted [program] is for dumb—maybe you should go there!”

I guess I expected to hear something like this from my kids some day, not so soon though, not from the 6 year old…

It is snowing in Pittsburgh. According to some unconfirmed sources we have experienced the 4th worst (or best, depending on your definitions) snow storm in recorded weather history. All we can say though it is gorgeous outside—a real wonderland, winter at its best, the way it should always be.

OK, streets cleaning and driving is a different thing. It seems like the city of Pittsburgh has adopted a simple but effective approach: “The winter is not gonna last forever—the snow will eventually melt. Just be patient.” Even though the major highways are being plowed, the neighborhoods are packed with snow. Two-lane streets are reduced to 0.75 lane drives.
